Choosing a Niche

Introduction by Juan Restrepo

When I first started in real estate, I thought the only way to make money was to buy a house, fix it up and then sell it. Little did I know when I joined my local REIA that I would discover so many new ways to make money in real estate. Every month a different speaker would show us how they made their fortune in their particular niche. They are all so compelling and interesting in their own way, but as I share with aspiring real estate investors – they should choose a niche and become the best at it. If you don’t you just find yourself running around chasing your tail and never becoming successful.

This month our theme is Choosing a Niche; each of our contributors write about their particular niches and are passionate about them which is why they are each successful in what they do. REIP’s Contributor of the Month, Than Merrill, has done such a great job for himself carving out his niche that he even has his own TV show on A&E.
